I'm dashing this one off quickly as I've barely had time to get home and scarf some dinner and I need to be leaving again in about a half an hour.

I was up on Beacon Hill for another meeting re: trying to save ROCKiT Space and I'm going to be heading out to the open mike at the Dubliner Pub in Fremont.

My goal for the latter is to hopefully get some more local names for my emailing list. It would be pretty cool if I could also sell a CD or two, but that would have to just count as "gravy." Not only do I need more names for the list but, much as I appreciate the world-wide nature of the list so far, it's unlikely that folks will fly into Seattle to see me play. I don't blame them you understand, I just want to up the odds that emailing out my gigs works towards filling up the venue.

The more I take on in my "todo list" the more my calendar fills up (naturally enough). I kind of like that. I'm such a slugabed by nature that anything I do to keep myself busy can't be a bad thing. Especially if it's related to my music biz.

Well... gotta go change clothes, wax my mustache and grab my ukulele, mailing list forms, etc. Might even try to arrive with some idea of what I'm going to play. That would be a change of pace for me at an open mike.
