Hobbit & Hare have been performing together since the summer of 2012. Andrew “Sketch” Hare brings cool bass lines and great harmony vocals. We play jazz standards and original tunes on a mere eight strings with a touch of louche humor, occasional tight harmonies, and constant fun.
The duo began as a busking project and after maybe a dozen or so appearances we were suddenly getting gigs! Since then we’ve played at Café Racer, the Couth Buzzard, the December 2016 edition of Seattle Jazz Vespers, birthday parties, bbq parties, formal dinner parties, house concerts, art walks, all sorts of small clubs and shows, and of course, more busking!
We love playing “unplugged” but are also capable of plugging into your sound system, or supplying our own where needed.
Below you’ll find several songs that were recorded live. Some are from a videocam’s audio and so there’s a bit of ambient noise in there.
